I first picked up this bottle while at Canal's Liquors on
Route 38 in Pennsauken, NJ. Actually, I was looking at
some wines from South Africa when the green bottle with the
most interesting artwork caught my attention... and the
price was maybe $10.
I didn't drink it until this week when a buddy of mine
needed to just talk and vent about her life. Since we were
two people who have put down many of bottle of vino since
knowing each other, I figured that this was a good bottle
to share.
Upon opening the bottle, I was treated to a nice aroma
filled with some flavors reminding me of some of my
favorite fruits. On drinking the bottle, we were treated to
a great Cab that definitely is a good bottle to sit idly by
and talk about different world events and issues [which is
what a lot of restaurant conversations seem like
anyway].
Filled with the flavors of black curant, cassis and
cherries, this wine is both potent, but not overpowering,
the way that a good cab should be. While the bottle is
sure to impress some people, or at least appeal to their
aesthetic eye, what comes inside more than outrates the
packaging. And for around $10, I would call this a steal.
